Global News Insight has caught up with the six teenage girls from Afghanistan who have been denied visas to travel to the US for an international robotics competition.

The girls, who live in the western city of Herat, had made the 800km journey to the Afghan capital Kabul twice, to apply for their one-week visas.

And as Global News Insight reports, the girls say they have been given no answers as to why they were denied.
