Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was arrested on corruption charges soon after he arrived back in the country.

He was sentenced to 10 years in jail on charges last week, related to the purchase of luxury apartments in the UK.

Sharif is the head of one of Pakistan’s most powerful political dynasties.
