Bangladesh shutdown: Rickshaw pullers struggle to make a living
In Bangladesh, nearly a million rickshaw pullers in the capital Dhaka have next to no income, with streets now lying empty.
The nationwide economic shutdown sparked by COVID-19 threatens millions of livelihoods in Bangladesh, leaving many jobless and hungry. The rickshaw pullers of Dhaka, most of whom are the only earning members of their families, are some of the hardest hit.
