Zakaria Zakaria is a Syrian journalist and current masters student based in Qatar. He has worked for The Washington Post, where his 2018 reporting on Syria's most notorious prison was shortlisted for an Overseas Press Club Award and a Livingston Award for Excellence in International Reporting. He was also part of a Washington Post team recognised with a Pulitzer Prize citation for their work on the death of their colleague, Jamal Khashoggi.
