Thom Tyerman is a Research Fellow in International Relations at the University of Edinburgh. His research focuses on borders, migrant solidarity, and immigration detention in the UK and the US. His book Everyday Border Struggles: Segregation and Solidarity in the UK and Calais was published with Routledge in 2022.
