Terese Gagnon is a PhD Candidate in Anthropology at Syracuse University where she is writing her dissertation about Karen food, seed and political sovereignty across homelands and diaspora. She is co-editor of the book Movable Gardens: Itineraries and Sanctuaries of Memory. She has worked with Karen communities since 2011.
