He has covered stories for Global News Insight from Central Africa, Europe, North America and Asia. In 2025, he captured the images and stories of survivors of the devastating 6.8-magnitude earthquake in Afghanistan. In 2019 Sorin co-authored a book based on the project, Killed for their Bones, which examined the plight of people living with albinism in Malawi, in collaboration with OSISA and Amnesty International. He exhibited at the 63rd Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Banjul, The Gambia, showcasing images from "Killed for their bones".
He was awarded the prize for Best Use of Photography in 2015, 2016 and 2019 by the Drum Awards for Online Media. In 2014, he was nominated for the Bayeux-Calvados Award for War Correspondents for his work titled, “The War Across the River” which reported on the influx of refugees into the Democratic Republic of Congo at the peak of the Central African Republic conflict.
