Maria Khristine Alvarez is a critical urban geographer and a PhD candidate at The Bartlett Development Planning Unit, University College London. She has published research articles on 'danger zone' evictions and disaster resilience in The International Journal of Urban and Regional Research (IJURR) and Radical Housing Journal, and has written on the politics of homelessness for The Funambulist.
