John Young has written books on Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, co-authored a book on the failure of the Western nation-state in the Horn in 2021. His latest book The Poisoned Chalice of US Democracy: Studies from the Horn of Africa was published in January by Bloomsbury Press.
