Irene Chidinma Nwoye is an independent journalist whose work has appeared in the Huffington Post, the Village Voice, Okayafrica and Quartz Africa. She is currently a creative nonfiction resident at the Carey Institute for Global Good, researching and writing stories on violence against women and the West African diaspora.
