Chris Chaplin is an Assistant Professorial Research Fellow at the London School of Economics’ Religion and Global Society Research Unit. His work focuses on the intersection between religion, faith, social activism and political belonging. He recently published the book ‘Salafism and the Sate: Islamic Activism and National Identity in Indonesia’.
